Physician Assistant - Thoracic Surgery Service – Day Shifts - Columbia Campus

As a Thoracic Surgery PA, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of residents and surgeons covering this busy surgical service. There are opportunities to grow, teach, and have significant autonomy. The position primarily consists of post-operative management of patients on the step-down unit and floor with some limited OR responsibilities. In this role, PAs serve as the front-line providers rounding with attending surgeons, writing notes, orders, and performing necessary bedside procedures.
This position consists of four (4) 10-hour shifts/week, some weekend day shifts, no call or holiday coverage.
Preferred Criteria
Background in Surgery and/or Medicine
At least 1 year of experience
Strong new graduates with a demonstrated passion for surgery are also encouraged to apply
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
NYS licensure and NCCPA certification
