Explore this opportunity:
Precertification Specialists are responsible for Authorization/Verifications. Verifies eligibility and obtains authorizations for all imaging, procedures, office visits, etc for the site including all specialties. Maintains patients chart notes with up to date and accurate data for insurance authorizations, denials, peer to peer requests, etc. Follow practice guidelines. Must have a working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance packages/plans and proficient with EMR. Develops and maintains a high level of customer service. Properly be able to communicate with providers, insurance companies, staff and patients.
This position is a Fulltime 36.25 hrs weekly with hours of 9:00AM to 5:00pm position located onsite at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. Schedule may vary
Preferred criteria:
- Experience working in a cardiology practice.
- Experience getting prior authorizations
Required Criteria:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- 1 year job related experience.
- Must have knowledge of insurance verification, obtaining insurance pre certifications and EHR. (Electronic Health Records)
