Registered Dietitian (RD) / Nutrition Support Specialist- Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital - Full time - Day Shift
Pediatric Nutrition Support Specialist- GI
Bring your experience to the pediatric clinical nutrition team at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Here, you will work with a dynamic team and a diverse patient population. This position will focus on providing nutrition care for our pediatric GI patients. This position provides coverage for both inpatients and outpatients. Inpatient duties include nutrition support; outpatient includes a variety of GI & nutrition clinics. Responsibilities include:
- Recommending parenteral and enteral nutrition regimens for optimal patient care
- Recommending nutrition interventions for all other assigned patients
- Precepting dietetic interns and education of staff
- Participating in projects and research
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration
This is a full time, Monday-Friday, day shift position.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience in clinical pediatric nutrition
- Experience with pediatric nutrition support (parenteral & enteral nutrition)
- Certified Specialist in Nutrition Support, Pediatric Nutrition, or Pediatric Critical Care (CNSC, CSP, CSP-CC)
- Outpatient counseling experience
- Masters or PhD degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field
Required Criteria
- Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent and completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics
- Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- NYS Certification as a Dietitian/ Nutritionist (CDN)
