Research Coordinator – Lang Research Center
Join our team as a Research Coordinator and play a key role in the implementation of clinical trials at NYPQ. In this position, you will be responsible for:
· Screen and recruit participants in various studies
· Assist with Informed Consent process and ensure patient understanding of study requirements
· Perform study-related tests and procedures
· Collect and manage research data
· Track study participant’s progress throughout the study
· Monitor patient safety and report any issues to Principal Investigator and study team
· Assist with regulatory compliance following NYPQ policies and federal regulations
· Develop and edit educational materials for distribution
· Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
· Ensure compliance with research protocols and regulations, and maintain effective communication with patients and their families
· Communicate updates and challenges and collaborate with the research study team and Principal Investigator to ensure successful execution of clinical trials
Required Criteria
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field.
· Minimum of three years of progressively responsible project coordination experience preferably in a research setting
· Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Access Power Point and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications
· Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills
· Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
· Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
· Time management skills and ability to multitask
· Ability to work well under pressure
Preferred Criteria
· Clinical Research Coordinator CRC Certification is preferred
· Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred
· Experience working in an Academic Medical Center preferred
