As a Senior Laboratory Technologist you will conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in the microbiology laboratory including mycology, bacteriology, and parasitology. You will troubleshoot instruments and methods. In state-of-the-art 24-hour facilities, you'll find real opportunities to maximize your time and training. Perform all quality control procedures and assist in the evaluation of new equipment, reagents and methodologies.
In this Senior position, you will function as a working Technologist who also assumes some responsibilities for the supervision and coordination of the activities of laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests, under the supervision of the Chief or Lead Technologist and Laboratory Manager. Relieves Chief or Lead Technologist during temporary absences.

This is a full-time day shift position working during the hours of 8am-4pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Preferred Criteria
- Microbiology experience
- 2 years of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
- ASCP certification
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or any other health science related field
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York State Education Department
