Join a highly-skilled technical team of Laboratory Technologists in our Chemistry/Hematology area of the Central Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Take on this important role, responsible for performing all patient tests, reading hematology slides, performing quality control procedures as well as standard preventative maintenance. Here you'll have an opportunity to work with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results.

In this Senior position, you will function as a working Technologist who also assumes some responsibilities for the supervision and coordination of the activities of laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests, under the supervision of the Chief or Lead Technologist and Laboratory Manager.  Relieves Lead Technologist during temporary absences. This is a full-time, evenings position working 3 days per week 4pm-12am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or any other health science related field
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York State Education Department

NEW HIRES PENDING A CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST LICENSE:

• Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire

Preferred Criteria

• Chemistry/Hematology experience
• 2 years of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
• ASCP certification
