Server Systems Administrator III

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux and Windows Server Administrator to join our Server Operations team. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our server infrastructure.

Your expertise will enable us to:

• Provide reliable and secure IT services to our customers, supporting their critical operations.
• Maintain the highest level of security and compliance, protecting sensitive information and assets
• Drive innovation and efficiency, leveraging industry-leading standards and automation to optimize our IT operations
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain RHEL and Windows servers, including server provisioning, monthly patching, and assisting customers with their server needs
• Ensure compliance with industry-leading security standards, including DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks
• Write and debug Ansible and PowerShell scripts for system administration tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement practical solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures
• Develop and maintain Server policies and configuration baselines
• Maintain virtualized RHEL and Windows servers, utilizing VMWare vSphere
• Migrate data from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity and a smooth transition while collaborating with key stakeholders
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends, proactively seeking to expand knowledge and skills through self-study and other training
• Monitor virtual infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Work with project managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to ensure project goals are achieved within budget and timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in server administration.
• MCSE and Red Hat Certification beneficial but not required.

Technical Skills :

• Strong troubleshooting skills for Unix (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server (2022, 2019, 2016) based server operating systems.

• Experience with Cisco UCS environments and Hyper-Converged infrastructure
• Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies. Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, OpenShift, etc. beneficial but not required.
• Working knowledge of network topology, disaster recovery and business continuity technologies.
• Working knowledge of storage replication and backup solutions.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., VMWare Aria Automation, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python) preferred.

Salary : $111,000 - $168,500
