Role
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining
Power BI dashboards and reports (80%) while providing support for on-premises SSRS
reporting (20%). This role requires expertise in Azure Analysis Services (AAS), SQL Server,
Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSRS, and DAX for data modeling and visualization. Strong skills in
data integration, transformation, and report development are essential, with a focus on working
across Azure cloud environments, data warehouse architecture, and on-premises SQL Server
systems.

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains Power BI dashboards and reports utilizing Azure Analysis Services (AAS)Creates and optimizes DAX calculations and tabular models to enhance Power BI performance and usabilityDesigns and manages ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ingest and transform data from multiple sourcesDevelops and supports on-premises SSRS reports to meet operational reporting requirementsWrites and optimizes complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning across Azure SQL and on-premises SQL ServerUtilizes SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Azure Analysis Services to build and optimize tabular modelsImplements Row-Level Security (RLS) and enforces data governance practices in Power BI and AASCollaborates with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable, actionable dashboardsMonitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes Power BI, AAS, and SSRS for performance and scalabilityCompletes assigned tasks in a safe, accurate, thorough, and alert mannerUpholds Company policies and proceduresWorks in a professional manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the publicOther related job duties as assignedQualifications
Strong DAX skills for creating complex measures and calculated columnsProficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and indexing strategiesKnowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics and Data LakesFamiliarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling best practicesUnderstanding of data modeling principles : star schema, fact and dimension tablesFamiliarity with Python or R for advanced data analyticsExposure to DevOps practices for Power BI and SQL deploymentsAbility to proactively identify and implement process improvements and new Power BI featuresStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAble to prioritize duties and manage multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervisionAbility to coordinate, contribute to, and work within a cross-functional teamMust possess the ability to take initiative to complete assignments and job responsibilities with minimal supervisionExceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsEducation and Experience
BS / BA degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university, or five (5) years of relevant experience3 years of experience developing Power BI dashboards with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) as the backend2 years of experience using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to build and manage ETL pipelines2 years of experience developing and maintaining on-premises SSRS reportsExperience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and tabular modelsExperience in authoring, editing, and processing Azure Analysis Services models for report consumptionPrevious experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferredPhysical Requirements
