Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux High-Performance Computing (HPC) System Administrator to join our team within Benet Laboratories at Watervliet Arsenal, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems and related software on HPC clusters. This role requires a proactive individual who can monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the high availability and reliability of both Linux and Windows-based infrastructure. Position Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, related software, and network services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP) on HPC clusters.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to ensure high availability and reliability of Linux and Windows-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and upgrade Linux-based HPC solutions that meet business needs.
- Implement and maintain security measures, manage user accounts, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
