Position Overview
NEXGEN is seeking a professional and detail-driven Project Manager to join our Sacramento-based team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience who possess strong communication and project management skills and are eager to grow in a collaborative and dynamic
environment.
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our state-of-the-art asset management software for clients. You will manage project timelines, collaborate with teams, and ensure successful delivery while maintaining a high standard of client communication and support.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the successful delivery of software implementation projects, collaborating with both internal and client teams.
- Plan, configure, and deliver the NEXGEN application tailored to client-specific workflows.
- Maintain detailed project plans, communicate regularly with clients, and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Evaluate and prepare client data for migration into the NEXGEN system.
- Test and validate system configurations to ensure performance and readiness for deployment.
- Lead end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support during the implementation and go-live phases.
- Uphold professionalism in all client and team interactions.
- Be available for occasional travel (up to 10%) to support client engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management, software implementation, or a similar role.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with asset management or software implementation is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Possesses knowledge of municipal utilities and/or public works
- Background in project management
- Experience with CMMS software
Compensation
Salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on experience.
