Overview
seeking a skilled and reliable Excavating Laborer/Operator to join our team. This position involves working with heavy machinery to perform excavation tasks for various construction projects, including site preparation, trenching, grading, and utility installations.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and bulldozer, haul truck safely and efficiently.
Assist in the preparation and clearing of construction sites.
Perform digging, trenching, and grading work to meet project specifications.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials on the site.
Work in collaboration with other construction workers to ensure project deadlines are met.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and site plans.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Excavating Laborer/Operator is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate machinery in a safe and effective manner.
Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
OSHA certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
