About the Company:
NexGen Utility Sales is an experienced professional manufacturers’ representative of electrical power products. However, we are “A Customer Service Company First”, that happens to offer each of our customers personalized engineering services to align them with our manufacturers’ products and services. We also specialize in identifying emerging technologies and bringing vetted solutions to our customers. Our customers include Investor-Owned Utilities (IOU’s), Municipals and Cooperatives, project developers, contractors, and Renewable Developers.
About the Role:
Our Inside Sales Specialists work primarily with electric utilities, EPC firms, contractors, renewable developers, and manufacturers in support of our territory sales managers and the president of sales. Experience in Electric Power Equipment Sales is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is ready to problem solve and use initiative to develop systems that support the sales department.
The primary role of this position will be to "Provide Best in Class Customer Service" for our "Suppliers" and "End User Customers" by facilitating and administering key support for all stakeholders.
This position is responsible for information requests, quote requests, order entry, drawing requests, order acknowledgements, and invoice tracking/monitoring of products and services of each manufacturer represented in our territory.
Essential Functions:
- Supports and develops relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Assist in developing and increasing sales to meet assigned targets through professional prompt communications with the Territory Managers and President of Sales.
- Direct opportunities in sales area to the appropriate Territory Managers/Senior Sales Executives and assist as requested.
- Develops strategies for time management, administrative tasks, reporting, and all other assigned tasks.
- Attends limited local trade shows as assigned.
- Participates in education, training, and professional development.
- Coordinates and assists in sales meetings.
- Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to our customers.
- Problem solving, troubleshooting, handling complaints and answering questions.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
✅At least 2 years of sales experience.
✅Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
✅Experience working with software systems such as Microsoft Office 365 applications (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
✅Experience working with CRM systems like Salesforce, Zoho, or RepBox.
✅Experience working with the Electric Utility/Power Industry.
✅Excellent communicator with a positive attitude and energy.
Specialized Skills:
Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. Energetic, forward-thinking, & self-assured, with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Experience with public speaking is an asset.
