JOB DECRIPTION :
loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, sorting inventory, checking for damage on incoming shipments, maintaining stock levels, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized, often requiring the ability to lift heavy items and follow safety procedures while working in a fast-paced environment; essentially performing any necessary manual labor tasks to support the warehouse operations smoothly.
Key responsibilities of a warehouse general laborer :
- Receiving and unloading shipments :
Unloading trucks, checking incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage, and moving products to designated storage areas.
Selecting products from shelves based on customer orders, packaging them appropriately, and preparing them for shipping.
Maintaining accurate stock levels by performing cycle counts, labeling products, and updating inventory systems.
Categorizing products and placing them in the correct storage locations
Loading pallets with products for delivery, securing them properly, and preparing shipping documents.
Keeping the work area clean and organized, removing debris, and reporting any safety hazards.
Required skills and abilities :

Operating warehouse equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, Performing quality checks on products, Labeling and tagging products, and Assisting with returns processing
