What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASU Operations Technician position at NEXHR?

What You'll Do
- Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards.
- Qualify as a key member of our QCU (Quality Control Unit), ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure adherence to FDA compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and internal quality systems.
- Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment. Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action.
- Stay current with QMS (Quality Management System) updates, process-related procedures, and training to uphold regulatory and company standards.
- Use quality assurance tools and equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
- Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, PID’s, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.
- Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.
- Provide assistance and technical support to other locations across the country as required,
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree or technical school certification is preferred.
- Relevant military, industrial gas/cryogenics technical practice, or continuous process facilities experience.
- General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work overtime as required, with shared on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable working safely at heights up to 200 feet and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc., to perform maintenance and repairs.
