What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Accounting Manager position at Nexien Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- confer with the Senior manager on financial reports
- Provide and manage accounting support tasks for the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Enter key data of financial transactions in database daily
- Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
- Decipher account items and post them to the proper account types
- Researched, tracked, and restored accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Settle/close accounts at the end of every month, quarter, and year
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree concentration in Accounting preferred
- 4 years of accounting experience preferred
- Prefer accounting experience in closing and managing fixed assets preferred
- Attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
- Good organizational and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience utilizing QuickBooks accounting system
- Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word,Excel, and PowerPoint
- Organizational,verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient, quick, and comfortable with personal computer navigation and operation
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Bilingual preferred (Korean and English)
