Job Summary
The HR/GA Specialist plays a key role in aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position actively engages with stakeholders to provide effective HR solutions, focusing on payroll and compensation management, workplace safety, training and development, recruitment and retention, and employee relations. Responsibilities:
- General administration duties
- Assist in recruitment efforts for both management and hourly positions, utilizing the most effective sourcing strategies.
- Represent the company at recruiting events, job fairs, and promotional activities to attract talent and build a strong applicant pool.
- Manage employee relations, including handling complaints, conducting investigations, and supporting performance management processes.
- Support periodic evaluations of compensation structures and programs to ensure fairness, effectiveness, and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop, review, and update job descriptions.
- Assess, implement, and oversee training and development programs to address workforce needs.
- Stay up to date with employment laws, labor regulations, and HR industry trends.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
- Oversee MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) purchasing activities and manage real-time inventory.
- Assist with employee transportation logistics.
- All other HR/GA/Admin/Safety/IT duties.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Business preferred.
- 1 year of experience in business administration or human resources.
- Experience with a company with 300 employees.
- Industry exposure with manufacturing, production, or related private service organization.
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task.
- Ability to learn human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information.
- Improves employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling employees.
