Job Description: RN Weekend Supervisor
The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during their tour of duty. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Makes physical rounds to assess quality of care, intervenes as necessary, and interacts with caregivers and patients/residents
- Supervises charge nurses, aides, and other care providers in carrying out their responsibilities
- Assesses and monitors patient/resident needs to ensure they are met and policies/procedures are followed
- Provides empathetic communication to families, patients/residents regarding condition changes or care concerns
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Valid registration as an RN in the state of practice
- Completion of relevant state Board of Nursing approved programs
