Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in urgent care and emergency medicine settings.
- Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting patient information accurately.
- Manage patient flow within the clinic or hospital environment to ensure timely service.
- Support coding and billing processes by accurately documenting patient encounters and procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Assist with geriatric patient care, ensuring their specific needs are met during visits.
- Inhale knowledge of best practices in medical assisting to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or related clinical environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to medical billing is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
