Who we’re looking for
An energetic Associate to join our twenty-member New York City firm who will assist wealth advisors with day-to-day management of a growing list of clients. The candidate will work as part of a growth-focused advisory team to provide a professional and exceptional level of client service.
This position is on a Financial Advisor career track and has significant upward potential. Our dynamic culture creates a hands-on training opportunity for highly motivated self-starters interested in the wealth management industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Develop strong partnerships with financial advisors, coordinate with operations, and deepen client relationships through exceptional wealth management services.
- Client Account Administration: Handle daily trading and portfolio reporting.
- Client Interaction and Support: Assist in preparation for client meetings, document discussions, and drive client follow-up.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor client portfolios and propose changes as appropriate. Work with advisors to create custom portfolios that adhere to the firm’s guidelines.
- Data Management: Assist with the maintenance of investment performance, portfolio composition, and other data to ensure accurate client reporting.
- Advisory Track: Ultimately progress to greater independence related to client execution items, client relationship management, and independent decision making. This role is on track to act as a secondary advisor.
Desired Skills and Experience
Applicants should have all the following:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college; Finance/Economics/Business preferred
- 2-5 years experience in financial services
- Focus on Wealth Management as a career
- Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) certification is preferred; Series 65 certification a plus
- Ability to simplify difficult financial concepts to educate a less experienced audience
- Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining client relationships, and integrating with key partners
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, takes initiative
- Team player, collaborative, able to work with others
- Accurate, organized, able to set priorities
- Of the highest integrity
- Maintain a “Client-first attitude”
- Desire and ability to grow in a small company environment
Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
