My Client is looking for a Practice Leader - Landscape Architecture & Planning to drive the growth and leadership of our landscape architecture studios in Texas. This person can be situated in Dallas, Houston or Austin. This role will focus on developing client relationships and overseeing the design and permitting of landscape architecture, land development, and planning projects statewide. This leader will build on our well-established, award-winning landscape architecture practice, which spans over two decades and includes 13 studios nationwide.
In this position, you’ll be essential in advancing the firms expansion in Texas, with opportunities to grow our portfolio in areas such as waterfront projects, urban revitalization, streetscapes, smart growth and community design, commercial and retail site development, healthcare and university campus planning, rooftop gardens, green infrastructure, and brownfield redevelopment.

Job Responsibilities
- Partner with firm and leadership to design, update, and carry out strategic growth plans
- Expand the LA P brand across Texas and the Southwest, increasing the team’s landscape architecture expertise in the region
- Lead efforts to identify and engage new clients, expand existing project opportunities, and attend client meetings to foster long-term business relationships
- Build professional networks across Texas offices and the LA P leadership, actively participating in the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture and land development projects
- Oversee and mentor future leaders and junior staff, supporting their development and growth
- Coach, guide, and energize a team of landscape architects, while supervising and approving project work
- Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and hiring efforts for the Texas studios
- Manage studio and project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and collections
- Gain expertise in the firms services to promote cross-selling and ensure seamless project coordination
- Take on additional tasks as needed
