Graphic Designer / Production Manager

We are looking for a graphic designer to create graphics for print media and signs. What is the role of a graphic designer? The graphic designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of business cards, business printing, vinyl signs, electrical signs, exhibitions and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message in a very short amount of time. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design quickly. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience. The Production manager portion of this position is to be able to print orders as approved, send jobs to contractors with file specifications they provide, communicate with production artists to complete projects and orders as requested accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to determine design elements and requirements
• Schedule projects and send to production
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using Adobe Illustrator or Gerber Omega software
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Work with production artists and contractors to produce final design that works
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Skills

• Proven graphic designing experience specifically in Adobe Illustrator and preferred knowledge of Gerber Omega
• Ability to work at a fast pace and multitask
• Ability to work with others and in a team environment
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must speak English language clearly to communicate with customers, having knowledge of other languages is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in a sign shop helpful

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship, Commission

Pay: $21.84 - $23.25 per hour
