Real Estate Photographer (Independent Contractor)

Next Door Photos (NDP) is a small business specializing in real estate photography, video, aerials, 3D tours, and floor plans. We’re all about quality work, great customer service, and having fun while serving our local community.
JOB OVERVIEW
We’re looking for reliable and skilled photographers to join our team as independent contractors. This role offers flexible hours, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to grow your skills in real estate media.
- Flexible schedule—work part-time based on availability
- Get paid per job (photos, video, floor plans, aerials, etc.)
- Travel to 3-6 properties per day (each shoot takes 40-90 minutes)
- Upload media by 9 PM the same day
- We handle editing and delivery—just focus on capturing great images!
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We need photographers, videographers, and FAA Part 107 drone pilots. Real estate experience is a plus but not required—we’ll train you on our process.
You should be:
- Professional and punctual
- Comfortable interacting with clients and homeowners
- Able to maintain a neat, professional appearance
- Open to feedback and ongoing training
- Able to drive up to 30-40% of the workday
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
To qualify, you’ll need:
- Camera: DSLR or mirrorless camera
- Lens: Wide-angle. For mirrorless sensor: 17mm. For crop sensor: 10mm.
- Flash: Hot-shoe, top mounted flash
- Tripod: Sturdy tripod with a ball head attachment
- Reliable transportation
- High-speed internet & laptop
We provide any additional equipment needed for specific services.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULING
- Pay: Pay is by service, but averages out to $25 - $35 per hour
- Contract type: 1099 independent contractor
- Schedule: About 20 hours per week of availability Mon - Sat
PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Part 107 drone certification (or willingness to obtain it)
- Prior experience with real estate photography or other media
Salary : $25 - $35
