Estimator Trainee

NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Estimator-Trainee in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

• Performs takeoffs on blueprints (i.e., circuiting and scaling drawings, counting devices and equipment, etc).
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents.
• Consults with customers and project managers to gather information to prepare estimates.
• Obtains bids from vendors and components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Attends job site walkthroughs as necessary.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Customer Oriented: Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of mediums.
• Detail Oriented: Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Time Management: Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
