NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Estimator-Trainee in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Job Summary
- Performs takeoffs on blueprints (i.e., circuiting and scaling drawings, counting devices and equipment, etc).
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents.
- Consults with customers and project managers to gather information to prepare estimates.
- Obtains bids from vendors and components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Attends job site walkthroughs as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) skills.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Customer Oriented: Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of mediums.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
- Time Management: Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
