Tasks
- Preparation and dispensing of medications for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Supporting the Regional Pharmacy Director in daily pharmaceutical operations.
- Providing medication management guidance to healthcare staff and patients.
- Ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and New York State regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records, inventory levels, and medication storage standards.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Conducting monthly audits, managing inventory control, and ensuring the availability of medications.
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent qualification; BS in Pharmacy and active registration as a New York State pharmacist required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in inpatient hospital pharmacy.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and medication dispensing software preferred; attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Languages: English, fluent in spoken and written (required).
- Residency training experience.
- 1 years of experience with Epic systems.
- Retail pharmacy experience.
- Job Security: Full-time, permanent contract.
- Working hours:
- Primary shift: 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Secondary shifts: 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
