What are the responsibilities and job description for the Virtual Desktop Engineer - Citrix and Azure position at Next Level Business Services, Inc.?
ROLE SUMMARY This position will be responsible for engineering the move from Citrix Virtual Desktops to Azure Virtual Desktops across a global footprint. Working closely with security and application teams, the individual will engineer the move, create the necessary supporting documentation / runbooks and sunset current Citrix environment. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as lead engineer for the migration from Citrix to Windows Virtual Desktop, following Sompo International architecture, technical and security standards
- Provide technical support for nay complex issues within Citrix Environment.
- Ensures that End User Computing engineering and support documentation is created and approved
- Provides hyper-care and performance tuning support during the project
- Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the infrastructure
- Engineer and support multiple Windows desktop images
- Package, test and deploy new applications as needed
- Maintain and expand existing Knowledge Base
- Create new and maintain existing support documents to Maintain high standards in quality in the delivery of End User Computing services
- Provide advice, guidance, and direction to carry out plans and procedures, ensuring schedule attainment, product development process adherence and performance
- Provide last tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis
