Clinical Specialist – Interventional Technology
The Clinical Specialist will collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager to support healthcare professionals in utilizing an interventional product portfolio. This role focuses on assisting physicians, hospital staff, and implanting centers to optimize patient care in Structural Heart and Interventional procedures. The Clinical Specialist provides case coverage, technical expertise, and education to drive procedural success and contribute to sales goals.

Education:
The Clinical Specialist will collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager to support healthcare professionals in utilizing an interventional product portfolio. This role focuses on assisting physicians, hospital staff, and implanting centers to optimize patient care in Structural Heart and Interventional procedures. The Clinical Specialist provides case coverage, technical expertise, and education to drive procedural success and contribute to sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Territory Manager to ensure effective case coverage and positive clinical outcomes.
- Provide clinical support and technical expertise for Structural Heart implanting centers.
- Assist in education and training for physicians, hospital staff, and internal teams.
- Offer technical guidance on device suitability, imaging modalities, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural solutions.
- Maintain deep knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of the product portfolio while staying updated on industry trends and competitors.
- Coordinate training programs and facilitate staff education.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with key decision-makers and clinical personnel.
- Monitor product inventory levels as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent medical training (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device industry.
- Strong clinical background, particularly in interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, or cardiac/vascular surgery.
- Preferred experience in a cardiac cath lab or as a scrub nurse/tech for Structural Heart procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse clinical professionals.
- Extensive experience in the Cath Lab as a scrub nurse/technologist for structural heart procedures.
- Ability to convey clinical and financial value propositions persuasively.
- Understanding of healthcare economics and product impact on health systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while wearing cath lab protective lead.
- Some lifting/moving of up to 10 pounds.
- Exposure to blood and hospital environments.
