The Clinical Specialist will collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area to meet existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals). The goal is to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how the interventional portfolio can help them achieve their goals and meet patient/customer needs. The Clinical Specialist works closely with Interventional Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons to support procedural and practice success in Structural Heart and Interventional procedures. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving sales goals, company objectives, and increasing sales revenue.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the Territory Manager to ensure effective case coverage and optimal clinical outcomes for patients.
- Serve as the primary clinical support for Structural Heart implanting centers, providing technical expertise in accordance with the Instructions for Use and best practices to promote procedural consistency and positive outcomes.
- Assist with education and training activities for physicians, hospital staff, and internal personnel. Stay informed about clinical data related to the product portfolio.
- Provide guidance on device suitability and offer comprehensive technical support, including knowledge of imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, hemodynamic waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions.
- Develop and maintain in-depth clinical and technical product knowledge. Understand competitive products, industry trends, and the organization’s portfolio.
- Oversee local education and training activities, including program coordination, procedural troubleshooting, and staff education facilitation.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key decision-makers, customers, and their staff.
- Demonstrate the ability to link clinical data to key messaging.
- Support monitoring of product inventory levels.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device industry, .with a strong clinical orientation. Experience with products used in interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery preferred.
- Experience in the cardiac cath lab environment or as a scrub nurse/tech for Structural Heart procedures required
