Territory Director – Infectious Disease Diagnostics
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Director to lead the expansion of infectious disease diagnostic solutions within a designated geographic territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, onboarding new accounts, and servicing existing clients, with a primary focus on outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, and physician offices that manage high volumes of infectious disease cases.

Essential Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging with healthcare providers, urgent care centers, and specialty clinics within the assigned territory.
Present advanced diagnostic solutions and clearly articulate their value proposition to key stakeholders, including physicians, medical directors, and practice administrators.
Drive sales and account penetration strategies to increase market share and revenue growth.
Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring high satisfaction and continued service adoption.
Educate healthcare providers on the benefits of rapid PCR testing, including its ability to differentiate viral and bacterial infections, enhance antibiotic stewardship, and improve patient care efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and senior sales leadership, to align sales strategies and market initiatives.
Meet and exceed individual sales targets on a monthly and annual basis.
Coordinate and execute training sessions for new accounts, ensuring seamless onboarding and adoption of testing solutions.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting diagnostic sales.
Travel within the assigned territory (up to 50% travel may be required, depending on location).
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience in medical sales.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven ability to independently research, organize, and prioritize sales efforts.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Strategic thinker with territory planning experience and a track record of exceeding sales quotas.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of documented success in medical sales, preferably in diagnostics, laboratory services, or infectious disease testing.
Experience selling into physician offices, urgent care centers, hospitals, or healthcare facilities.
Demonstrated ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals on clinical solutions.
