Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for bringing the Suntory RTD Company brands to life in-market, specifically in key off-premise retail stores. Activities will be focused on new distribution, increasing velocity, effective merchandising, and promotion to achieve brands success with buyers, retail sale staff and consumers.
Core Accountabilities :
- Identify new off-premise / retail accounts to sell-in and promote Suntory RTD Company brands in assigned territory
- Maintain all existing accounts and grow account base
- Achieve or exceed volume and distribution goals in assigned territory
- Account pre-plan with agenda, purpose and opportunities with a post-review of goals and conversion rates
- Develop and maintain strong distributor and customer partnerships to achieve a winning “Share of Mind” beyond our brand size and scale
- Identify, build and maintain 25 high end and highly visible “Showcase Accounts” within assigned territory that has the following : multiple points of interruption, cold box, warm shelf, display activity, use of point of sale materials
- Maximize and maintain visibility on shelf and in cold box through facings, POS and pricing management
- Merchandise accounts by selling in and building displays and utilizing “Point of Sale” improving display visibility when allowed
- Fully understand and be able to clearly communicate features and benefits of our brands as well as competitor brands
- Develop and maintain overall beverage alcohol and RTD / FMB category knowledge
- Recognize competitive activity and assess impacts / opportunities for Suntory as a result
- Preparation and timely submission of required reports
- Manage budget to maximize effectiveness
- Scheduling and execution of off-premise promotions / samplings / demos
- Planning and execution of trade, industry, distributor and consumer-facing events
- Create and maintain account files with up-to-date information
- Some evening and weekend hours are required
- Field-based role with extensive driving to accounts
