Company Overview : Our client, a fast-growing, nationwide commercial property development firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Accountant specializing in partnership and investment accounting to join their expanding team. As a leading player in the real estate industry, our client specializes in all aspects of residential property development, working with tenants, landlords, communities, lenders, and investors.
The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of this company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, preferably within the real estate or property management industry. The Senior Corporate Accountant will report to the Controller and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the company’s financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and proper account reconciliations.
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Handle cash flow management and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, supporting the preparation of tax returns.
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, providing recommendations for implementation.
- Support ad hoc financial analyses and projects as requested by leadership.
