Job Summary
Next Level Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join the dynamic team of one of our Baton Rouge clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. The Human Resources Generalist will contribute to creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for onboarding and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, and internal procedures
- Maintain electronic files for employees including, but not limited to benefits and attendance records
- Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management and employees for suggested best-practices
- Review applications for potential employees for the assigned business unit, ensuring that applicants meet minimum requirements as per Benny’s policy and employment procedures.
- Responsible for providing appropriate staffing levels at the assigned business units, including scheduling and conducting interviews for all required hires.
- Facilitate onboarding for assigned business unit, including the offer letter, pre-hire paperwork, background checks, I9s, E-verify, and drug screens.
- Schedule orientations for incoming employees.
- Oversee and ensure that uniforms are issued to incoming employees and as needed to existing employees.
- Participate and lead employee engagement activities. (monthly Jambalaya lunch) ● Coordinate with the Human Resources Director and the Coordinator to ensure continuity of operations within the Human Resources Department.
- Update incoming employees spreadsheet and staffing spreadsheet to maintain accurate records.
- Perform various HR clerical activities as needed to support the department.
- Assist the Human Resources Director as needed.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures effectively to all employees.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human resources.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a HR Generalist role.
- SHRM or HRCI certification strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to independently conduct employee relations investigations.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
- Exposure to payroll practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

Work Environment / Lifting Requirements
Generally, this position fulfills work requirements and interacts with customers, employees and management staff within the environment of the corporate office. Lighting, spacing, HVAC systems and other environmental factors are contained and controlled within the work environment such as office or work site areas. Exposure to potentially hazardous and external environmental conditions may occur occasionally when the employee is called upon to complete job tasks or work assignments outside of the corporate office. The position generally does not require repetitive lifting over 25 lbs. Generally, most lifting is limited to files, boxes, materials and bundles weighing less than 25lbs. Lifting occurs occasionally during a typical 8 hour workday.

Pay: $58,240.00 - $62,000.00 per year
