Role Overview

A well-established organization is seeking a Benefits Analyst to assist with the administration of U.S. benefits program offerings. This role involves managing day-to-day responsibilities related to health and welfare benefits, providing direct employee support, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive , with the ability to analyze benefits data, improve processes, and provide excellent customer service to employees.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Manage group benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs.
  • Maintain documentation and streamline benefits administration processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on group insurance coverage and wellness programs.
  • Act as a liaison between benefits vendors, employees, and partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate benefit enrollments for new hires, life event changes, and status changes.

Compliance & Auditing

  • Perform regular benefits audits (enrollment, eligibility, premium contributions) to ensure compliance with plan documents.
  • Ensure adherence to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other benefits compliance regulations.
  • Support data-related requests from HR, management, and external vendors.
  • Employee Support & Communication

  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve benefits-related escalations.
  • Assist employees with open enrollment questions and general benefits concerns.
  • Enhance benefits reference materials, including FAQs, guides, and knowledgebase articles.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a benefits administration role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a large company (5,000 employees) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and auditing.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other benefits compliance regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented in a remote work environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in benefits consulting or a similar advisory role.

    Experience managing third-party vendors and benefits providers.

    Strong communication skills to clearly explain benefits programs and policies.

    Familiarity with open enrollment processes and benefits communication strategies.

    Additional Information

    Remote Role : Fully remote, but candidates in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred due to team coordination.

    Hiring Priority : Immediate need to fill this role as soon as possible.
