Position Overview :
We are seeking a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to join our team in Harrison, OH . This role involves designing special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems , ensuring compliance with local, national, and manufacturer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fire protection design, with expertise in AutoCAD and a desire to obtain NICET certification .
We are open to hiring either a Senior Level or Junior Level candidate depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- System Design and Compliance :
Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software.
Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation.
Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications.
Attend manufacturer training classes and continued education programs.
Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks, including process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
2 years of experience in the fire protection industry .
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting .
Strong organizational skills.
