Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with expertise in HVAC and plumbing design to join a highly respected engineering firm. This role involves a combination of mechanical system design project management and client engagement across various commercial and institutional projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems engineering AutoCAD / Revit proficiency and project leadership to oversee diverse MEP projects in industries such as commercial offices education municipal buildings healthcare and multifamily developments .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial educational healthcare and institutional buildings.
- Generate AutoCAD and Revit construction documents to support MEP engineering projects.
- Perform load calculations equipment sizing and energy modeling using tools like TRACE700 CHVAC7.0 and AIRMaster .
- Manage multiple projects including schedule planning resource allocation and budget tracking .
- Maintain and organize engineering documents and project schedules .
- Conduct field inspections to resolve design conflicts and ensure system compliance.
- Provide technical reviews of mechanical design submittals and oversee project execution.
- Prepare and deliver project status updates to internal teams and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive new business development .
