About the Role
A government agency is seeking a MuleSoft Architect / Software Developer to support MuleSoft integration projects for the Department of Economic Security (DES) . This role involves leading the design, development, and optimization of MuleSoft systems while working in an Agile environment . The ideal candidate has hands-on MuleSoft development experience, expertise in integration architecture, and a strong background in API management .
Key Responsibilities
- MuleSoft Development : Design, implement, and optimize MuleSoft integrations using Mule 4x , RAML , and OpenAPI .
- API & Integration Management : Build RESTful and SOAP APIs , configure API Gateway policies (security, throttling, rate limiting).
- Error Handling & Transformation : Implement DataWeave transformations, error handling strategies, validation, message filtering, and flow controls .
- Security & Compliance : Implement OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect for secure authentication.
- CI / CD & Deployment : Utilize Git, Maven, Azure DevOps , or similar CI / CD tools for development and deployment.
- Cloud & Messaging Systems : Work with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud , and messaging queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ .
- Collaboration & Agile Development : Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives , and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
- Code Reviews & Mentorship : Provide guidance and support for other developers in MuleSoft best practices.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Implement logging and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, MuleSoft Monitoring to track system performance.
