Next Level Technician is urgently searching for an MSO Network Technician III in Indianapolis IN . The MSO Network Technician is a lead technician role that provides leadership and installation services across multiple platforms in support of many forms of communications facilities and networks. Technical responsibilities include working independently and leading a team to install and troubleshoot networks with various pieces of electronic gear and cabling systems to support our customers.

Essential Job Functions :
- Independently lead and complete
- Fiber optic jumper and electronic installation activities o Network equipment installation activities
- Secondary DC power installation activities
- Electronic equipment, modules, cards, and SFP installation activities
- Independently lead and complete transport circuit turnup and validation
- Troubleshooting for all the above installation activities
- Work autonomously and safely in a live network environment
- Coordinate with the customer NOC, field staff, engineering and management to identify, troubleshoot and mitigate issues
- Review, update, augment, and provide timely job documentation
- Test and install fiber jumpers, ethernet, and coax
- Ability to use a computer for network configuration activities, inputting IP addresses, loading scripts, etc.
- MS Office and basic computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio
- Install, run power, and wiring of different network devices, network line cards used by customer such as Nokia Photonic Switches (PSS8,PSS16,PSS32) , Nokia 7250 IXRs, Juniper QFX5110, Juniper QFX5200, Juniper EX4300 Dell Poweredge R750, Opengear CSV, XMF-R, Cisco NCS-5501, Cisco ASR 9903 and 9906, Harmonic REEF, CMTS, RPHY gears, etc.
- Test and turn up, commissioning, device configs / script loading.
- Ability to read and understand engineering packages, wiring diagrams, designs, rack facials.
- Site surveys
- Create A-Z running list
- Print labels per customer requirements
- Use different test gear to test cables, circuits, or network- from basic continuity testing, VFL, DSAM, ORT (operational readiness testing), FRP (First RPD provisioning), DOCSIS validation, video validation checks, VOD stream check, different scanners, etc
- Use different cabling tools (crimpers, prep tools, etc)
- Scope, clean fibers
- Secondary or small gauge DC power knowledge
- Structured cabling / ISP wiring- RF, ethernet, fiber, DC.
- Create SMOP, completion forms, and other forms required by Comcast
- BOM creation- from consumables, different type of cables and connectors including DC and fiber, breakers / fuses, anything required for projects.
- Can work days and nights
- Work on different hub and headend environment
- Detail oriented, ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work on their own especially during migrations / cutover
- Troubleshooting skills from basic cable tracing to roll backs
