Scrap yard located on the south side of Milwaukee has an opening for a CDL A truck driver! Must be able to drive both Automatic and manual transmission! First shift Monday- Friday Schedule!! OVERTIME available!! NO TOUCH Freight!! must have automatic / manual transmission work experience not just licensing or from training and minimum 1 yr commercial driving experience); local runs only – home each night. Drivers do not manually load and unload material on the trucks – our trucks have hydraulics for loading / unloading. Hours are 50 hrs / wk total – start time is 5am-6am depending on preference and company / customer needs; end time is typically 2pm-4pm Mon – Fri with Sat OT available at drivers’ preference up to DOT max allowed hours. Plus $ sign-on bonus payable $ after 3 mo, $ after 6 mo and $ after 1 yr. We also offer a $ / quarter drivers’ performance incentive Responsibilities : Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck Load and unload cargo Properly track and document activity log Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Inspect truck before and after trip
