The Tube Laser Lead Person is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of tube laser machines and managing a team to meet production goals while ensuring quality and safety. This role often bridges hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, making it vital for maintaining productivity and meeting customer specifications. 1. Machine Oversight Operate and monitor tube laser cutting machines to ensure precise cuts on pipes, tubes, and structural materials. Perform adjustments, programming, and maintenance to maintain optimal machine performance. Leadership Supervise and train team members in laser machine operation and safety protocols. Delegate tasks effectively and manage the daily workflow to meet production deadlines. Quality Control Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and design specifications. Address and resolve any production defects or inefficiencies promptly. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve laser cutting techniques and production efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and management to implement process enhancements. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and maintenance activities. Provide regular updates to supervisors or management regarding team performance and production goals. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety standards in the workspace and ensure team members adhere to them. Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance with workplace policies. Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CNC tube laser machines. 3-5 years of experience Understanding of CAD / CAM systems and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with materials used in tube cutting, such as steel, aluminum, and other alloys. Leadership Abilities Strong team management and interpersonal skills. 3-5 years of experience Experience in training team members and fostering a collaborative work environment. Problem-Solving Skills Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize downtime. Analytical thinking to optimize production processes and improve machine efficiency. Organizational Skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Competence in maintaining documentation and records accurately.
