Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated IT Generalist to provide IT support and solutions to our diverse client base. As an integral part of our team, you will work across a variety of technologies, from networking and hardware to cloud services and end-user support. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of IT environments for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day technical support for both on-site and remote clients, including troubleshooting, system administration, and IT operations management.
• Maintain, monitor, and update client systems, networks, and software to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Assist in the configuration, deployment, and management of servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.
• Manage and support cloud-based services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and Google Workspace.
• Perform network administration duties, including configuring firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating complex issues to higher-level engineers when necessary.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery tasks to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Manage client IT projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution from inception to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on various systems and software applications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, configurations, and support requests.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in IT technologies.
Qualifications:
• Required:
o 2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar environment.
o Strong knowledge of network configurations, server administration, and cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.).
o Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
o Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other common IT infrastructure services.
o Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Strong communication and customer service skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
o Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel to client sites is required).
• Preferred:
o Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or similar.
o Experience with security tools and protocols (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, encryption).
o Familiarity with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
o Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) and ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Ninja, HaloPSA).
