In this critical role, you will ensure the meticulous sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments, playing a pivotal part in maintaining high standards of infection control and assisting surgical teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Actively participate in the OR team, focusing on the cleaning, sterilizing, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Guarantee that all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized and ready for use in procedures.
- Uphold strict sterile practices to safeguard patient safety and enhance procedure efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with surgical staff, nurses, and other members of the sterile processing team to deliver exemplary support.
- Manage the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
- Address and report any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
- Comply with all hospital policies and standards pertaining to sterile processing and infection control.
