Position Description:

Minimum Qualifications:
The EKG Technician provides basic medical care to patients under the supervision of RNs/Physicians. The ECG Technician advocates for patient safety and protocol integrity, adheres to standards, and communicates effectively to ensure effective conduct of clinical trials and quality patient care.
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Experience performing ECGs preferred
- Completion of ECG course preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- The ECG Technician competently performs routine electrocardiograms and holter application
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to care for patient population
- Obtains good quality ECGs according to the patients schedule and protocol guidelines
- Addresses ECG queries as appropriate
- Assists RNs with performance of ECGs
- Prepares equipment for daily use and maintain cleanliness of ECG equipment
- Inventories and requests supplies as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
