About the Role

At Next Step Coaching & Counseling Services, we’re seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant cum Behavioral Assistant who can balance both clinical fieldwork and essential administrative tasks.
In this hybrid role, you'll support children and families through behavioral health interventions while also ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the office. It’s a perfect position for someone who thrives on versatility, compassion, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities Behavioral Assistant Duties
- Assist in implementing individualized behavioral health plans alongside licensed clinicians.
- Provide direct support to youth and families in community and outpatient settings.
- Teach coping strategies, self-regulation, and life skills for emotional development.
- Deliver psychoeducation services and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Maintain detailed records of client progress in line with confidentiality standards.
Administrative Assistant Duties
- Manage client intake forms, scheduling, and appointment confirmations.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and assist with front-desk communications.
- Maintain accurate electronic records, data entry, and reporting.
- Support HR and billing coordination as needed.
- Organize files, manage supplies, and assist in daily office operations.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and administrative departments.
Requirements
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Preferred: Recent college graduates with relevant internship or volunteer experience.
Experience
- Relevant experience in a behavioral health, youth development, or community-based program.
- Experience with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and office support is highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or EMR systems.
- Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in Spanish (Required).
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
Compensation & Benefits
