Next Step Counseling is currently seeking clinicians to provide individual/family therapy as well as the possibility to facilitate weekly therapy groups in a positive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all clinical needs of caseload
- Completing diagnostic assessment
- Developing and implementing client-focused treatment plans
- Facilitating ongoing psychotherapy sessions at a frequency-based on individual clients needs Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, individual and/or group counseling, case management, client education, referral (as needed), treatment planning, and consultation of/for clients.
- Evaluate psychological, social and physiological signs and symptoms of recidivism risk factors, substance abuse, and mental/physical/emotional decline.
- Collect pertinent data from appropriate collateral sources in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
- Develop a diagnostic evaluation of any co-existing conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans/goals.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with ethical and legal requirements.
- Identify specific therapeutic interventions appropriate for specific problems.
- Attend clinical trainings (CEU’s provided) and staff/supervisory meetings as needed/required.
- Complete progress notes with appropriate format. Complete required reports and evaluations as
- Maintain cooperative relationships, establish and maintain productive and effective communications with supervisor, direct staff, clients, and other associates in the office building.
