The Opportunity

As Sales Manager, you’ll lead DROP Sprockets' North American sales, with a primary focus on expanding our footprint in the U.S. This role involves guiding and overseeing the internal sales team and a network of 30 agents, emphasizing strategic partnerships, distribution management, and team leadership.

While primarily supporting DROP Sprockets, you’ll also collaborate with Weller Metalworks to drive distribution initiatives, leveraging their resources to broaden your impact.

This role offers the autonomy to shape a targeted sales strategy, enhance market share, and meet KPI-driven performance incentives. With a focus on regions where speed and service offer a competitive advantage, you’ll differentiate us in the marketplace and contribute directly to our anticipated 30% annual growth.

Location : Flexible (US-based) with 25–45% travel

Compensation : Commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do

Develop and implement strategic plans to grow sales across both established and untapped markets.

Manage a portfolio of distributors and manufacturer reps to ensure alignment with company objectives and drive revenue growth.

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with distributors and manufacturer reps.

Provide training, tools, and support to ensure their success in representing DROP Sprockets.

Identify and onboard new distributors to strengthen our footprint in the power transmission and industrial sectors.

Partner with manufacturer reps to provide boots-on-the-ground support and develop localized sales strategies.

Guide and oversee the internal sales team, providing mentorship and aligning efforts with strategic objectives.

Collaborate with Weller Metalworks on shared distribution initiatives to maximize synergies across the group.

Balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, including quoting, managing accounts, and supporting field sales efforts.

What We’re Looking For

5–15 years of industrial B2B sales experience, ideally within sprockets, bearings, chains, or related components for motion control and power transmission.

Strong understanding of distributor networks and manufacturer rep relationships.

Proven ability to meet and exceed aggressive sales targets ($3M annually).

Experience with short sales cycles (7–21 days) as well as longer-term distributor development.

Hands-on approach with the ability to build processes and manage teams while contributing directly to sales efforts.

Skilled in balancing day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning.

Comfort with technical products and the ability to engage with engineers and technical buyers.

Ambitious and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

A team player willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
