Job Description:
Do you love working with children and want to make a difference in their daily lives? If so, Next Step Therapy is the job for you. Next Step is hiring a qualified Nutritionist for Early Intervention. You will work with children ages birth – 3 years old in their homes as part of a professional therapeutic team that will coach the child and family to reach their full potential.
Specific duties will include:
· Assess the needs, interest, and abilities of the family and child to determine appropriate ways to achieve optimum nutritional requirements for children with nutritional risks, calorie needs for nutrient deficiencies or excesses, growth concerns, management of supplemental feedings, weaning, and feeding transitions.
· Assess and coach children and families with feeding skills, feeding routines and preferences.
· Work on all aspects of the child’s nutritional status by providing support to the family and child in their home environment.
· Assess nutritional needs and coach families on rates, volumes, and formulas for children with feeding tubes.
· Coach families of strategies to improve their children a relationship with food to optimize intake.
· Provide families with individual session notes that include the outcome, strategies used, recommendations, and plans for the next session.
You will also be responsible for completing treatment plans and quarterly progress reports. You will have a huge impact on each and every child on your caseload!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and current PA Dietician licensure
- At least 1 year experience working with children
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must obtain new State Police Criminal Record check, Child Abuse History and FBI clearances, with a clean record
- Obtain CPR infant/child upon hire
