Mission Focus : NT Concepts is seeking a Database Developer to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.

Location / Flexibility : Remote with some travel to the DC metro area

Clearance : Current active DOD Secret clearance required

We are seeking a Database Developer with strong experience in PL / SQL to help us maintain and enhance multiple customer databases. In this role, your primary focus will be designing, developing, and optimizing PL / SQL-based database solutions while ensuring data accessibility, integrity, and performance. You will collaborate closely with application teams, troubleshoot complex database issues, and implement improvements to existing Oracle database procedures and modules. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in IT and 3 years of database or software development experience and should be able to review procedures in Oracle database as required by the applications

Develop, optimize, and maintain PL / SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views to support enterprise applications.
Analyze and enhance existing database modules, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project requirements.
Respond to and resolve customer questions or issues related to Oracle databases, focusing on PL / SQL-based solutions .
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between Oracle database operations and application requirements.
Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance query performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database components, processes, and updates.

REQUIREMENTS :

Working knowledge and experience with Oracle DB , PL / SQL , and SQL

Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing Oracle packages, procedures, triggers, indexes, and functions.

5 years of relevant professional experience supporting database development

Understanding of Oracle database design, theories, and data retrieval procedures adopted by applications

Experience with query tools such as Toad or SQL Developer

Working knowledge and experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration

Basic understanding of database security best practices

Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools

Highly self-motivated with the capability to independently analyze codebases and perform in-depth research with minimal supervision

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IT, Information Security, Database Administration)

CompTIA Security Certification

Understanding of Agile software development

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Java, C#, or Python

Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting

Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
