General Dentist - Greater Baton Rouge Area

Qualifications :

Graduate degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine
Minimum 6 months experience as a Dentist preferred
Louisiana Dental, CPR & X-ray licenses required

Benefits :

10 Paid Holidays per year

PTO 6.25 hours per pay period (20.31 days yr)

BCBS Health Insurance - 75% of premium paid by employer

Reliance Matrix Dental & Vision - 50% of premium paid by employer

Life Insurance $50K

Retirement - employer contribution min 2% of gross after 1 year & up to 4% of gross after one year

Duties :

Treats diseases, injuries & malformations of teeth and gums & related oral structures

Examines patients' teeth and mouth & provides other diagnostic and preventive dental services including patient education in dental hygiene

Design, make & fit prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and dentures & write fabrication instructions or prescriptions

Perform oral and periodontal surgery on the jaw or mouth

Extract teeth and make models and measurements for dentures to replace missing teeth

Conduct peer reviews & assist program coordinator with annual evaluations of dental staff

Assists in the orientation, continuing education & on the job training of staff

Manage business, employ and supervise staff & handle insurance claims
