What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer/Warehouse position at Nextaff?
Nextaff is seeking competent and reliable individuals to join a Restoration or Construction Team in many different locations. The ideal candidate is willing to work hard in difficult situations, has excellent communication skills, and is a serious multi-tasker. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Experience in property restoration or demolition is preferred, but not required.
Please note, while you are on the road, you will NOT be in your vehicle, rather a company vehicle.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Provide labor for emergency property damage.
- Maintain transport, store, and keep track of company equipment and expendables.
- Comfortable with technology, able to learn new skills, work as a team member and follow directions.
- Perform on-call rotation as needed.
- Follow established safety practices including the proper use of PPE when required.
- Willing to work with other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Driver's License and Clean motor vehicle record, required
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to bend, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work in confined spaces and various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work around a variety of chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity.
- 1 year of relevant restoration or construction experience, preferred
