Job Title: Quality Technician – Machine Shop

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our machine shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet precise specifications, using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with customer and company specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on machined parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to verify part accuracy.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
- Identify and document non-conforming parts and communicate findings with production teams.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and assist in quality reports and documentation.
- Work closely with machinists and engineers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing quality inspection (preferred).
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
