Nextant is looking for a Communications Specialist 4 to join our client team. The main function of a Communications Specialist is to provide support while our employee communications team is on parental leave. It involves creating and distributing content that informs and engages employees, fosters a sense of community, and ensures employees are aligned with the organization and company's goals and values.
Job Responsibilities:
- Content Development and project management for employee communications - for example, writing internal announcement emails, rhythm of the business (ROB) employee communications (surveys, promotions, rewards, etc.), town hall presentations and talking points, learning event content and talking points, giving campaign content, stories about employees. Also includes planning and management of these examples and more.
- Updating SharePoint sites, publishing content that was communicated
- Scaling communications: Enabling chiefs of staff across the organization for ROB comms with templates, guidance and support.
- Partnering to plan, write and publish the weekly organizational comms that go out every Friday AM on email to 11K employees and stakeholders.
- Partnering with events leads to preparing briefing documents and talking points for internal executive engagements with various groups of employees at Q&As, roundtables, AMAs, fireside chats or by other means.
- Employee Engagement: Informing employees with pertinent information and striving to build a sense of community across the organization.
- Provide dedicated consulting time to give counsel, editing advice, help solve communications challenges, and give guidance on how to use functions in productivity tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or equivalent training preferred
- 8-10 years related experience required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with employee communications writing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Microsoft tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Solid knowledge of principles and methods for communicating to employees within an organization about business and product topics.
- Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.

Pay Rate:
The annual salary range for this position is $104,000 - $112,500 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.?
